De jetlag nog niet helemaal te boven gekomen ga ik naar mijn eerste opening in Downtown Los Angeles. Quotidian, opgericht door curators Jill Moniz en Francine Kelly presenteert Serpentine Fire, geïnspireerd door de Earth Wind & Fire song.
Moniz geeft aan dat de kunstenaars in de tentoonstelling diezelfde radicale kunstpraktijken hebben als Earth Wind & Fire in hun beginjaren. In de tentoonstelling ook werken van Umar Rashid (aka Frohawk Two Feathers) die in de stal van Cokkie Snoei in Rotterdam zit.
